Tutoring

There is free tutoring available through the math department Mon-Fri in Math East, Room 145. Once the schedule is set up for the semester, the calendar will be available here.

There is also free tutoring available from Think Tank, which also offers weekend tutorig. Here is the website for ThinkTank.

You may want to check out the department's calculus homepage.  Here you will find many useful links, such as additional problems to work through, practice worksheets, information on WebAssign, online calculators, lists of formulas, and other helpful things.


(4/10/12) The next EXAM is Friday, April 27, 2012. It will cover sections 4.6-4.8, 5.1-5.4, and 6.1-6.4. The final is Monday, May 7 from 1-3 PM. It will be cumulative and will cover through section 7.1.

(3/21/12) The next EXAM is Friday, March 30, 2012. It will cover sections 3.7-4.4.

2/19/12 The next EXAM will be Wednesday, February 29, 2012.

Please sign up for WebAssign and complete homework 0 and 1.1 prep by Thursday at midnight. You should be able to access these assignments now if you would like. You will have until January 23 to pay for your WebAssign access for the semester.


Final Exam Information

 
The Final is Monday, May 7 from 1-3 pm. The location is TBA. It is a common final and is cumulative. Below are some study materials.

Note that written homework (from the textbook or worksheets) is in bold. The problems you will need to do from the book will usually be taken from those listed here.  Also, the answers to the odd problems are in the back of the book, so I suggest checking your answers on these problems. Make sure that on written homework you show ALL work. This means clearly showing each step in calculations, labeling all axes on all graphs, labeling limits, etc.

I highly suggest keeping a well-organized notebook of your work for the webassign homeworks. This will help you later when you study for exams and will help keep your thoughts organized while you work through the problems.
